A small, cozy shop. Usually a cafe, now, in lockdown, stocked with lots of nice little things for Christmas and for at home. And it also smells seductively of delicious pastries! Many reasons to come back!

The Bretelles LadenCafé is a very cute café with an absolutely authentic French charm. The coffee is delicious. But what I find most beautiful is the very warm service; you just feel very comfortable and the staff is genuinely friendly. For me a place to feel good. And a pro for early birds: it is open very early in the morning.

I went to this cute French café for the first time today. It's also great that Rottenburg offers something gluten-free at all! There is always gluten-free bread for breakfast, as well as a gluten-free offer during the day, and of course cakes, tarts and biscuits. I was very positively surprised. Everything is very authentic and extremely tasty! I can only recommend this café. The gluten-free offer is excellent and the baker, who I think is also the boss, is a gold piece! I ate the tastiest lemon tart ever!

Very great and authentic French coffee. The occupancy rate is currently very high, so a reservation is recommended. In addition, the high number of visitors leads to somewhat longer waiting times. There is still some need for optimization here, although one likes to wait a bit for the quality. The interior is very cozy and also very neat on the outside. The service is very friendly and as attentive as possible (restriction is the level of occupancy). The breakfast is very good. The croissants and pain au chocolat taste like in France and are not available in this quality in the area. The prices are rather high. A breakfast for two costs between 12 and 15 euros. This is i.a. the fact that breakfast is composed of components. In this way, in addition to the cost of the croissant, there are also costs for the jam (1.10 euros, quality is good, but the price then seems a bit high). The coffee is good. But there are also better coffees. The coffee could be a little hotter, at least you can't burn yourself on it. I would love to come back and enjoy breakfast like in France. 4 stars PLUS. For 5 stars, I would like a little shorter waiting times, hotter and / or stronger / more intense coffee (but it is a matter of taste) and possibly a breakfast offer (croissant, spread and yoghurt as a menu, for example).

On recommendation, I went to the relatively new Café Bretelles in Rottenburg. I know this café from before. Visually, a lot has definitely changed here and the café looks very authentically French and also includes a small shop with French products. You can have breakfast here in the mornings and mornings. Breakfast can be put together by yourself. If you want to be full here, however, it will be very expensive. The croissants are French, very tasty, but also really expensive at € 2.60. The coffee was prepared properly, but there are better places for coffee in Rottenburg. When asked whether there were also whole grain products, I was told that the French breakfast doesn't really contain whole grain products and therefore only croissants and baguettes are available. You want to be authentically French. However, since I know France very well, I know that it is not. In France, too, they bake very good whole grain bread. In addition, I find it obsolete, especially now, when people are paying more and more attention to nutrition and health. When it comes to authentic French, I also have to critically question what Skyr (traditionally Icelandic) is doing in the range and why Quiche Lorraine is baked with puff pastry. An authentic quiche is definitely baked from shortcrust pastry or in a bread dough. In terms of taste, it didn't really convince me either. In addition, I think € 5.80 for a piece of quiche is definitely too expensive. As already mentioned, the prices are set very high overall. The bottom line is that the café is quite nice. However, I prefer to drink my coffee in the coffee factory and buy my wholemeal rolls at the bakery!
